Case Study: Mission Association for Community Living
Mission Association for Community Living (MACL) is a long-standing nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in Mission and the surrounding community. Through inclusive programs, advocacy, and personalized support, MACL empowers people to live meaningful, connected lives.
As the organization evolved, MACL needed a website that clearly communicated its mission, services, and impact, while remaining accessible to a diverse audience of clients, families, donors, and partners. Vasdev Design led a strategic redesign, refining messaging, improving usability, and creating a warm, approachable visual system. The result is a clear, welcoming website that reflects MACL’s values and strengthens its connection to the community.

Step 1
Strategic Discovery
The project began with a collaborative discovery process to understand MACL’s mission, audiences, and role within the community. While the organization had a strong foundation, its online brand needed renewed energy and clarity. Together, we identified an opportunity to refresh the visual identity by introducing thoughtful colour, warmth, and consistency while ensuring the brand remained approachable, inclusive, and trusted.

Accessible Website Design
With strategy in place, we brought the brand to life through a fully custom website. Colour played a central role, used intentionally to create visual interest, guide users, and reinforce accessibility. Clear layouts, improved contrast, and simplified navigation made it easy for visitors to find programs, services, and key information regardless of device or ability. The result is a welcoming, intuitive experience designed for clients, families, donors, and community partners alike.

Results & Community Impact
The refreshed website strengthened MACL’s digital presence, improving engagement and repeat visitation while creating clearer pathways to core services. With a more accessible, vibrant, and easy-to-navigate platform, MACL is better equipped to support its community and communicate the impact of its work with confidence and clarity.
